As a SysOps Manager, you will be leading the team in charge of maintaining, upgrade and manage critical business Infrastructure for the company, its configurations, and the several services kept on it. Given the intensive use of technologies in the cloud in the company, as a leader, you will actively participate in the creation and maintenance of the different services and artifacts to keep the entire IT infrastructure Cloud-based.

- Manage SysOps team staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.
- Performance planning and career development for team staff.
- Manages and directs the team including setting priorities, coordination, and reporting of activities.
- Interface with customers and management in planning, maintaining and resolving issues for IT Infrastructure.
- Cross functional team collaboration to achieve major objetives.
- Design, install and configure AWS Cloud services.
- Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
- Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment.
- Performs hands-on troubleshooting as required. As such, it leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations.
- Define and document best practices and support procedures.
- Monitoring system performance or event logs for normal operations.
- Maintains and supports the integrity of the entire company Infrastructure.
- Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission-critical resources.
- Effectively respond to critical customer outages related to systems faults and software bugs within the infrastructure.
- Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies (on-call) as well as occasional weekend maintenance processes
- Plan and administrate team’s after-hours schedule rotation to support the infrastructure accordingly.
- Carry out special tasks in Management's direction such as PI Planning, Backlog prioritization and Upper Management request.
- Manage projects self-sufficiently and to 100% completion.
- Stays current with technological developments in Cloud technology and recommends ways to take advantage of new technology.
You...
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience working in IT Operations.
- 3+ Years’ experience leading teams
- Experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across Cloud technologies
- Excellent project management skills and a strong ability to prioritize
- Good knowledge and experience working with Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum and Kanban)
- Proven experience in Cloud Computing Technologies, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification.
- Proven experience in Linux environments as administrator
- Good knowledge of networking services and configurations
- Good knowledge of Rancher and Kubernetes technologies
- Good knowledge of Cybersecurity
- Strong communication skills to oversee personnel and foster collaboration with other organizational departments.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent English Language Skills (B2 or upper level)
Nice to have
- Programming knowledge in Python or Java (preferred)
- AWS Solution Architect certification.
