As the CAMCAR Country President, you will lead and develop a sustainable and profitable operation of our CAMCAR marketing company. This includes accountability in handling aspects of sales, marketing, market access, government affairs, regulatory affairs and medical as well as corporate functions such as Human Resources and Finance, ensuring both short-term performance and long-term business success. You will have the primary responsibility to build a high performing cluster leadership team and organization by hiring high quality people, developing them and retaining the best talents.
**Accountabilities**:
- Establish objectives and strategies, and guide execution plans in alignment with the corporate vision and ambition to achieve profitable growth.
- Lead and deliver business and organization goals and scorecard objectives, and adapt execution plans considering changing market situations.
- Working with the cluster leadership team, build the cluster business plan that includes sales, cost and profit targets.
- Formulate long-range plans aligned with the company's growth objectives and implement plans agreed with LatAm Area Vice President.
- Arrange and review advice from Global and Regional brand / TA teams of the products to be marketed and ensure that governmental regulations are met.
- Direct and oversee operations of both commercial and corporate functions and allocate financial and people resources in the most efficient manner.
- Hire, develop and retain top talents by ensuring discipline in talent reviews and succession planning and in championing people development activities.
- Ensure compliance to statutory requirements in the country are met fully.
- Lead external reputation of the company and raise AstraZeneca South Cone profile in line with corporate strategy.
- Represent the company at public occasions (for example, conventions) and in interactions with external parties and present a positive image of the company.
- Ensure a culture of ethics, integrity, and compliance is embedded in all business practices alongside full accountability for effective oversight and transparent upward reporting of compliance status in partnership with Global Compliance.
- Be responsible for adoption of the AZ Standard for the Marketing Company Quality Management System (QMS).
- A member of the LatAm Area Leadership Team.
**Requirements**:
- Delivered sustained commercial performance in leading a small or medium country
- Depth of knowledge and expertise in one or more TA. Has led a TA or brand, including launch experience, in relevant emerging market settings.
- Developed and executed TA or brand strategies globally, demonstrating strong organizational acumen, patient-centricity and scientific knowledge.
- Successfully built and managed AZ’s reputation, collaborating with key external stakeholders, government bodies and regulatory agencies across one or more countries.
- Managed significant risk and complexity and has systematically built a risk management mind-set within a large organization
- Built high performing organizations, with capable and engaged teams and optimal culture.
- Led cross functional teams executing against multi-disciplinary strategies (sales, marketing, medical, market access etc.)
- Evidence of increased scale & complexity of accountabilities throughout career path and gained broader experience over time. Global marketing, strategy development experience highly preferred, and exposure to other functions such as R&D is desired.
- Lived and worked outside of own country, having a diversity of experience. Demonstrated continuous personal growth and learning agility throughout leadership journey.
- Business fluency in English and Spanish
