Sr Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Description

Senior Supplier Quality Engineer
Implementing Quality Engineering, Purchasing Controls, and Supplier Quality processes related to developing, procuring, and continuously improving manufacturing materials, components, software, sub-assemblies, contract manufactured finished devices/products, or services, and introducing them into the Philips supply chain.

Your role:

  • Qualifying raw materials and components, improving supplier processes for CtQ's, and ensuring that supplied parts meet specifications and control limits/tolerances for CtQ parameters.
  • Qualifying and sustaining supplier sub-processes, performing process validations for critical supplier processes impacting part quality.
  • Ensuring that supplier components/products meet agreed specifications and quality requirements, executing SCAR management effectively and timely, evaluating non-conformances regarding raw materials, and participating in the audit assessment of suppliers.
  • Independently completing Supplier Quality Engineering activities and documentation.


You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent job experience in a related field, 3-5 years in the medical industry within areas of Quality Assurance, Incoming Quality, or Complaints.
  • Advanced level of English.
  • Knowledge in problem-solving with quality tools such as 6 sigmas, 8-D, CAPA, 5WHYs, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 13485, CAPA systems, global medical device standards, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive action methods, and product/quality development methods.
  • Experience in auditing suppliers is desirable.
