Buyer I

Coordinates the procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment, and supplies for the organization by performing the following duties.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Assist internal customers with creating requisitions for goods and material in the company systems.
• Place purchase orders in a timely fashion for goods and services.
• Negotiate favorable price, delivery, terms and shipping with vendors based on items and services specifications.
• Work on Supplier set ups negotiating payment terms. Handling vendor documentation.
• Perform follow-up on overdue purchase orders and communicate with internal customers when material will arrive.
• Prioritize and resolve internal reports for late orders as high and low priority.
• Execute reschedule of material deliveries as needed.
• Work with internal customers to clarify requirements.
• Work with accounts payable to resolve any invoice disputes.
• Process all vendor returns in an efficient and timely fashion.
• Resolve system issues related to the placed orders in the company tools.
• Closely work with different vendors about order discrepancies on price, quantity, and other aspects.
• Follow up on pending invoice payments working with accounts payable.

• BA in business preferred.
• One to three years purchasing experience.
• Good working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing application programs.
• Experience with an MRP planning system helpful.
• Advanced English skills
