Job Title: Deal Desk Strategy, Process, & Policy Operations Lead

Team

Join the Global Deal Desk Strategy & Policy team, dedicated to optimizing operational efficiency for Global Deal Desk team members who offer guidance and approvals to Sales for non-standard subscription deals.

Role

The ideal candidate for this position possesses a data-driven mindset, excels in generating and analyzing operational reports, and boasts significant experience in structuring quotes to cash deals. Leveraging this expertise, the candidate will contribute to refining policies, processes, and training materials to enhance the efficiency of the Global Deal Desk team in managing complex and crucial non-standard deal structures. While this role does not involve handling specific deals, it focuses on streamlining processes to support deal-related activities.

What you get to do in this role:

  • Develop reporting capabilities and conduct data analysis to identify opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency within the Global Deal Desk team.
  • Show initiative in identifying obstacles to Deal Desk efficiency, devising solutions, and promoting enablement for continuous improvement.
  • Continuously assess, suggest, and collaborate on refinements to policies and processes on behalf of the Deal Desk team as the company's product offerings, pricing strategies, and sales landscape evolve.
  • Foster consensus across functions on innovative concepts and initiatives involving the Deal Desk, ensuring alignment of Deal Desk policies with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to transformation projects like CPQ and CLM enhancements.
  • Create playbooks addressing customer negotiation challenges, process documentation, and other enablement materials to benefit the Global Deal Desk team.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in deal structuring, sales operations, or financial analysis.
  • MBA, BS in Finance, Economics, or related fields.
  • A comprehensive grasp of the quote to cash process flow.
  • A balanced approach informed by game theory and an ability to identify nuanced risks.
  • Strong business insight with excellent verbal and written communication skills, utilizing tools like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing business terms within legal agreements.
  • Strong logical and analytical capabilities.
  • Effective collaboration and partnership with cross-functional teams, building valuable relationships and influencing outcomes through adaptable communication techniques.
  • Self-motivation, reliability in meeting deliverables and deadlines, and adeptness in multitasking.
