What this job involves
We are currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Accountant to join our team:

Location:
Heredia, Costa Rica.

Work schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Work model:
Hybrid.

Contract Type:
Indefinite-term

We are looking for an Accountant to join our team and participate in the end-of-month closing, including preparing journal entries, general ledger account maintenance, and preparing account reconciliations.

As well as the proper registration of income recognition, issuing billing for services, review of the delivery of financial statements for accounting studies, monitoring of collection; analysis of reimbursable income by the client; reporting to the operational areas.

What is your day to day?
General ledger
Supervision of delivery of financial statements of external accounting studies
Registration of income recognition.
Reconcile billing reports, T&E, Payroll vs accounting.
Analysis of the age of balances of accounts receivable, for the calculation and recording of reserve of uncollectible accounts.
Follow-up to collection.
Meet monthly and annual closing dates.
Confirm dispute resolution with Payroll Corporate balances
Compliance with internal control and revenue recognition policies and procedures.
Services to internal customers.
Reconciliation of balances.
Prepare financial information reports to operational areas.
Federal Income Tax Withheld

Desired experience and technical skills

Required
2 to 5 years of experience in accounting
Bachelor's Degree in Economics or Student
From 1 to 3 years or more of experience in private enterprise.
Knowledge of accounting systems (preferably PeopleSoft).
Solid knowledge of MS Excel.
Intermediate English level
