ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY


Wind River Systems is seeking an experienced high-performing software engineer for a position validating a cloud-based platform that spans across all products.


Responsibilities:

  • Create test cases to perform functional testing over critical business features.
  • Create test plans and strategies to cover on critical functionalities on the product or products delivered from the R&D department.
  • Analyze, create, and report defects that can help improve quality on features and development projects.
  • Root cause analysis (review logs, investigate failure to root cause, query data bases, sniff network traffic).
  • Collaborate on testing strategies planification for validating business features and product capabilities.
  • Collaborate and guide other QA engineers on the organization for achieving testing goals and product deliveries.
  • Collaborate on the time and effort estimation required for the teams to test and deliver a feature successfully.
  • Include and plan on the testing processes into an agile development cycle (Scrum, Kanban)

ABOUT YOU

Core Competencies & Demonstrated Success

  • 35 years experience as a software developer in test or a quality assurance engineer.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to interact with project team members.
  • The ability to work autonomously and support other test engineers.
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience creating and maintaining test cases.
  • Experience in bug creation and reporting.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks like Selenium, Rest Assured, Python Scripting, WebDriverIo, or Cypress is required.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, and/or Lean Methodologies.
  • Technical experience creating test plans, executions, and strategies for business deliverables.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working on estimation of testing efforts for the product.
  • Experience with third party tools and providers: Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins is a plus.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

Qualifications
BSEE/BSCS or equivalent experience.
