About the role:
- Independently conducts development work as part of major research and/or development project.
- Viewed as an expert in one or more in-house technologies.
Your responsibilities include:
- Performs pioneering engineering work as part of major programs.
- Assists in and/or manages functional deliverables and ensures technical excellence for product or technical development.
- Drives complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.
- Provides guidance to product and technology teams.
- Coordinates manages, and documents project goals and progress and recommend appropriate revisions.
- Develops and coaches others on engineering documentation.
- Trains and/or provides work direction to technicians and less experienced engineers.
- Supports teamwork and staff development through a commitment to mentoring and technical leadership.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of manufacturing impact on product performance as perceived by the customer.
- Build Quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance with all quality requirements.
What we're looking for:
- Licentiate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Biomedicine
- At least 7 years of experience in similar positions
- Medical industry experience
- Desirable: Master's degree
- Desirable English level: 90% or above

Required Technical Skills:
- Statistical skills (e.g. Minitab)
- Software CAD (e.g. AutoCAD, Solidworks)
- Medical Devices Regulations (i.e. EU MRD, FDA 21 CFR)
- International Standards (i.e. ISO, IEC)
- Problem-solving techniques
- Design control methods such as Risk Analysis (dFMEA, pFMEA)
- Design Validation and Verification plans, protocol, and report generation
