Key Responsibilities:

  • Book loads from loadboards and negotiate rates with brokers
  • Coordinate and schedule flatbed truck deliveries and pickups according to customer requirements
  • Communicate effectively with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support throughout their routes.
  • Monitor routes and track progress to ensure timely delivery of cargo while optimizing efficiency and minimizing delays.
  • Address any issues or concerns that arise during transportation, including accidents, breakdowns, or delays, and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including delivery schedules, driver assignments, and customer information.
  • Collaborate with other departments
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries, resolving complaints, and addressing customer needs.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a dispatcher, preferably with flatbed and/or hotshots.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey information and build positive relationships with drivers, customers, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software for route planning, tracking, and communication.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures related to flatbed trucking operations.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with quick decisionmaking skills to handle unexpected situations effectively.

Pay:

  • Base monthly salary of 800 USD plus commission of 1.5% of gross booking
