Data Integration Developer (Remote)

Heredia, Costa Rica
SGF Global is looking for a Data Integration Developer, for IT enterprise in Heredia, Costa Rica.

Overview

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in computer science, information technology, informatics, applied mathematics, physics, statistics, or another quantitative field. Master's degree is a plus but not required.
  • 10+ years of overall professional experience in the data management field
  • Previous experience as a data engineer
  • Practical knowledge of SQL and various types of NoSQL data stores and engines. Solid understanding of pros and cons of using one over the other for a particular usecase. CosmosDB/MongoDB, SQL Server, PostgreSQL are a must.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and data management frameworks (Python, Java Script, R, SAS)
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving customer experiences.
  • Ability to prioritize project requests and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently in a fastpaced environment with mínimal supervision.
  • Strong initiative, a good sense of humor, and a "we'll figure it out together" attitude.
  • Understanding of agile software development principles and how they can be flexibly applied.
  • Outstanding allround communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Experience working on multidisciplinary/balanced product development teams (preferred)
  • Healthcare business experience (preferred)
  • Experience working with remote distributed teams (preferred)
  • Azure Data engineering certification (Azure Data Engineer Associate) is a significant plus (preferred)

Duties and Tasks:

  • You will be responsible for designing and building the cloudbased infrastructure and data pipelines required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
  • Contribute to building analytics solutions that provide actionable insights into customer acquisition and retention, operational efficiency, and other key product performance metrics.
  • Assist the engineering team with the design of the product data layer.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to assist with datarelated technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements.
  • Interpret trends and patterns.
  • Conduct complex data analysis and report on results.
  • Optimize data delivery and redesign infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Combine raw information from different sources.
  • Explore ways to enhance data quality and veracity.
  • Identify opportunities for data acquisition.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and architects.
