The Financial Planning and Analysis Intermediate Analyst holds a key role in providing management with valuable insights into Citi's financial performance alongside the Finance team. Utilizing strategic thinking and data analysis, this position involves creating and analyzing reports to assess Citi's alignment with projected outcomes.

  • Analyze financial performance of Citi and its competitors
  • Lead annual planning and forecasting processes, reviewing results against plans monthly
  • Generate reports for Boards of Directors and Executive Management
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and address issues in alignment with Planning and Analysis processes
  • Participate in various reviews and reports
  • Utilize metrics to evaluate business decisions
  • Execute time-sensitive activities for Financial Planning and Analysis teams
  • Develop review material for senior leadership and regulatory reviews
  • Demonstrate autonomy and serve as a subject matter expert to stakeholders
  • Maintain compliance with laws and regulations

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Experience in financial services
  • Proficiency in financial, analytical, and reporting tools
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst in the USPB Deposits Balance Sheet team plays a vital role in analyzing Citi's financial results and working collaboratively with the broader Finance team. This position requires strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset for continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with partners to develop deliverables and analytical reports
  • Prepare results for senior management presentations
  • Identify process gaps and streamline operations
  • Analyze economic scenarios, consumer trends, and forecast results
  • Quickly gain business knowledge and become a subject matter expert
  • Handle Ad-hoc requests as needed
  • Ensure compliance with Risk & Control policies
  • Promote a culture of integrity, ethics, and meritocracy

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of financial analysis experience in a corporate environment
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Proactive problem-solving ability
  • Translate financial data into actionable insights
  • Experience in a fast-paced matrix organization
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Education

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting (MBA preferred)
