The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to: Setting priorities for the team and ensuring an inclusive work environment getting results across boundaries and developing employees and managing performance.

Responsible for supervising the activities of Preventive/Corrective Maintenance Crew Technicians for the Test/Assembly areas. Assign personnel and monitor the performance and proper execution of Preventive/Corrective Maintenance through all Manufacturing areas.

Higher job levels establish operating policies and procedures, coordinate multiple functions within manufacturing, and establish strategic plans to ensure maintenance schedules are met within established quality and cost objectives.

Responsible for the overall safety of personnel and the surrounding environment. Plans and schedules daily tasks use judgment on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices. Responsible to track and improve critical success indicators like Perfect PM, PM Warranty, MTBA, MTTR, MTBF, Availability, USDT, etc.

Manage both preventive and corrective maintenance activities when required to enable the modules to hit the availability, cost, and yield indicators.

  • Willing to handle multiple assignments in a timely manner while meeting assigned deadlines.

  • Advanced teamwork and influencing skills.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications,

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position:

  • Bachelors or Licenciatura Degree in a Technical Engineering career such as Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanic, Electronic, or related field.
  • 1+ year experience managing personnel is desired.
  • 1+ year experience working in a High-Volume Manufacturing environment and/or equipment maintenance.
  • 1+ year experience in managing indicators and working independently with limited supervision.
  • Willing to work on shift (12 hours a day, 4 consecutive days of work followed by 3 consecutive off days).
  • Intermediate to advanced English Level.
  • Must have a permanentunrestricted right to work in Costa Rica.
Preferred Qualifications,

Experience in managing people especially technicians would be added advantage.

Knowledge of microprocessor test and finish equipment and process.

Knowledge of structured Problem-Solving Methodologies.

LEAN and Six Sigma.

Basic knowledge of statistics and data analysis methods using tools such as JMP, and Minitab.
