Job Description
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, codes and implements programs in one or more programming languages for specific assigned software systems such as Windows services, Class libraries, and Web applications.
  • Assesses the health and performance of software applications and usage of databases.
  • Provides research support to business and IT groups within the organization, advising on options, impact on processes, and system priorities.
  • Writes program specifications for individual programs.
  • Designs, codes, tests, corrects, and documents simple programs or scripts, assisting in software implementation for properly engineered information or communications systems.
  • Assists in ensuring accessibility, retrievability, security, and data protection in an ethical manner.
  • Defines test conditions for requirements, designs test cases and creates test scripts, interprets, executes, and records test cases as per project plans, and analyzes test activities and results.
  • Produces software builds from source code.
  • Conducts integration tests, records failure details, carries out fault diagnosis for simple failures, and reports results clearly.
  • Undertakes designing simple applications and assists in component design of larger systems as part of a team.
  • Supports integrated applications with knowledge of system integration, test planning, scripting, and troubleshooting.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with business units, customers, and IT subject matter experts to stay informed on direction, status, architectural issues, risks, and functional/integration matters.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core.
  • Familiarity with Java is beneficial.
  • 1-3 years of experience in database technologies (SQL Server, MongoDB).
  • 1-3 years experience preferred in technologies like RabbitMQ, MSMQ, Windows Services, Web Services, Microservices, Openshift, Atlassian tools: Jira, Bamboo, Octopus.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Strong expertise in software design and development concepts.
  • Good knowledge of software development and project management methodologies, with Agile experience being advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.

This role is based in Costa Rica and involves permanent home-based work with no relocation option.
