The Data Quality Manager is a seasoned professional role responsible for operational/service leadership and direction to team(s) in coordination with the Data Quality team.

The overall objective is disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. The role may contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within the area of Data Quality. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Generally has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness of end results and shared responsibility for planning and budgets. Work affects an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the Data Quality family.

Full supervisory responsibility, ensuring motivation and development of team through professional leadership to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations as well as direction of daily tasks and responsibilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Participates in defining and establishing appropriate data standards, understanding the data needs of regulatory and internal reporting, the acquisition of that data, the financial reconciliation and Data Quality measurement of that data and fixing issues at source through the Issue Management Resolution process and other transformation programs.
  • Works to ensure that functions are compliant with Citigroup Data Management Policy
  • Defines strategies to drive data quality measurement, produce data quality dashboards and reports, and implement data quality strategies to effectively govern data and improve data quality.
  • Works with data quality partners and Technology teams to identify and implement data quality tools. Identify critical data elements, data quality rules, thresholds, and other business requirements.
  • Secure approvals from Data Governance Officers on scorecard requirements and use (i.e., tollgate documentation).
  • Manages and drives productivity improvements and reduce nonvalue adding expense
  • Promotes more effective use of existing tools and processes (and eliminate those that are not used or are ineffectual)
  • Identifies and supports the development of new capabilities
  • Manages and executes strategic design and process improvement projects across Technology and Operations and other support organizations
  • Performs analysis to test hypotheses and size opportunities (including data gathering, modeling and synthesis of results.)
  • Develops and refines recommended solutions to address issues and capture opportunities.
  • Presents findings/analysis and make recommendations to senior management.
  • Partners with stakeholders to create and launch tactical implementation plans.
  • Collaborates with global and regional peers to strategically enhance the delivery of data standards operations through the design and implementation of controls and processes

Qualifications:

  • 58 years of experience in Data Management
  • 5+ years of problem solving skills
  • Experience with defining and implementing data quality programs, driving continual improvement programs
  • Experience with Process measurement, process development and


 Problem Solving
  • Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite including Visio, Excel (including Power Tools), PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Demonstrated success interacting with stakeholders both in the business as well as the Operations, Business and Technology Environments
  • Advanced English Level Required
  • Experience in a Financial Services or large complex and/or global environment preferred
  • Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) desired
  • Agile experience and understanding of Agile values and principles
  • Experience with Agile testing and technical engineering techniques a plus
  • Process Improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma, RPA, etc.

Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
