Your tasks:

  • Prepares part adds and manufacturing documentation package
  • Includes setting part numbers in the system, creating Manufacturing Process Sheets (MPS), assembly labels (text markers) and package labels
  • Supports Field Application Engineers who are recommending appropriate H+S products to customers
  • Provides customer support when necessary related to manufacturing related questions
  • Assists in the exchange of technical information between Field Applications Engineers, H+S Astrolab and other H+S group members for all products
  • Assists in the execution of transfer process
  • Gathers, maintains, formats, complies, and manipulates technical data and procedures engineering and design documentation
  • Takes oral and written instructions, use existing documents and company standards to produce designs consistent with the military and customer requirements
  • Completes designs expeditiously while maintaining procedures and level of quality within the work
  • Meets deadlines for completion of delegated assignment
  • Draws detailed part drawings and specifications from CAD assembly layouts and/or markup drawings for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using CAD equipment
  • Produces threedimensional models, of detailed parts, using CAD software
  • Layout and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict geometry of components
  • Modifies and revises designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems
  • Checks dimensions of material to be used and assigns numbers to the material
  • Computes mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery, using computerassisted equipment
  • Coordinates with and consults other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems
  • Positions instructions and comments onto drawings
  • Provides documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used
  • Observes, receives, and otherwise obtains information from all relevant sources
  • Creates graphical representations of mechanical equipment
  • Analyzes design or requirements information for mechanical equipment or systems
  • All other relevant duties as assigned
    Your profile:
  • Education:
  • Associates Degree
  • Specialized technical training in drafting/mechanical drawing

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years of CAD experience (CATIA/Solidworks preferred)
  • Skills/Knowledge:
  • General understanding of Radio Frequency, Fiber Optics and Low Frequency desired
  • Good understanding of manufacturing methods and standard assembly capabilities
  • Technical Writing experience (i.e. creation of manufacturing documents, drawing interpretation)
  • Experience in Quality/Contract Review
  • Database maintenance
  • Document Management System Software preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Intermediate knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
  • English level, B2+, minimum
