We're currently on the lookout for a Manager/PO for Data and Analytics to spearhead this transformative journey. This role goes beyond just leadership; it's a chance to lead our data and analytics strategy. The selected candidate will steer the direction, design, and implementation of initiatives centered on leveraging the power of Snowflake and other data platforms. Your efforts will enhance transparency, optimize revenue management, and drive profitability across our brands and product portfolios.

Scope/Categories:

Role will report to the B2B Digital Commercial Sr Manager. This position involves managing direct reports and overseeing external resources.

Travel may be required for approximately 15% of work time.

Key Interfaces

Internal: KCP R&E Vice President, Senior Leadership and Engineers, CX & Marketing Vice President, Senior Leadership and Product Managers. KCP North America Segment leaders.

External: Contractors, Consulting Partners, 3rd Party service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Data and Analytics initiatives within Snowflake, collaborating closely with Product Managers and stakeholders to define and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring solutions effectively meet business needs.

Manage the Data and Analytics product backlog with precision, clearly articulating backlog items to stakeholders, product managers, and the scrum team. Aim for a balance between new developments, operational tasks, and bug resolutions to consistently deliver value through our data solutions.

Develop and maintain release plans for Data and Analytics enhancements in Snowflake, considering financial costs and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) during the planning phase. Set realistic release objectives in collaboration with Product Managers and the delivery team, while managing dependencies across teams to align release schedules and timelines. This approach ensures that financial aspects are integrated into strategic planning, maximizing the impact and efficiency of our Data and Analytics enhancements.

Engage in continuous collaboration with the Scrum team and subject matter experts to refine Product Backlog Items, ensuring the team possesses the necessary understanding for accurate estimation and planning during sprint sessions.

Establish clear priorities and sprint goals for the scrum team focused on Data and Analytics, providing ongoing support through sprint execution to overcome obstacles and maintain a seamless workflow.

Uphold the integrity of Data and Analytics deliverables in Snowflake by reviewing sprint backlog items, providing constructive feedback to the scrum team, and actively participating in agile events to advocate for stakeholder needs effectively.

Coordinate cross-functional resources for detailed planning and execution of Data and Analytics Product Backlog Items in Snowflake, engaging with professionals from various departments to ensure successful sprint reviews, user acceptance testing, and deployment of new features.

Promote team development and foster a culture of continuous learning and enhancement within the Data and Analytics team, encouraging knowledge sharing, professional growth, and teamwork to cultivate a high-performing, agile team dedicated to delivering innovative Data and Analytics solutions in Snowflake.

Key Qualifications and Experiences:

Technical Expertise:

  • Snowflake Ecosystem Proficiency: Over 5 years of hands-on experience in tailoring, configuring, and crafting solutions within the Snowflake environment. This includes a profound understanding of Snowflake's data warehousing capabilities, data architecture, SQL optimization for Snowflake, and utilizing Snowflake's unique features such as Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks for real-time data processing and analytics. Additionally, my background includes expertise in data migration strategies, performance tuning, and securing data within the Snowflake ecosystem.
  • Snowflake Architecture Design: Demonstrated proficiency in designing solutions within the Snowflake ecosystem, following best practices in data architecture and design patterns. This encompasses utilizing Snowflake's advanced features like secure data sharing, stored procedures, and integration with external functions. Skilled in optimizing data workflows and enhancing user experiences through the scalable compute and storage capabilities offered by Snowflake.
  • Snowflake Security Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of Snowflake's security model, encompassing role-based access control, data encryption at rest and in transit, and implementing Snowflake's security best practices. Familiarity with configuring Snowflake to meet industry security standards and compliance requirements, ensuring the safeguarding of sensitive data within the Snowflake environment.
  • Scalability & High Availability: Proven experience in designing and implementing highly scalable and resilient Snowflake solutions to ensure business continuity and optimal performance even under high loads.
  • Snowflake Cloud Services Implementation: Strong track record in leveraging Snowflake's cloud-based architecture to develop scalable and highly available services, optimizing the use of Salesforce's multi-tenant architecture for efficient resource utilization.
  • Agile Development with Snowflake: Profound familiarity with Agile methodologies in the context of Data and Analytics development projects, adept at managing the product backlog, user stories, sprints, and releases within the Snowflake ecosystem.
  • Strategic Problem Solving & Analytical Thinking: Ability to address complex data-related challenges with strategic foresight and analytical precision, employing data-driven decision-making to navigate and optimize Snowflake implementations for business impact.

Leadership and Management:

  • Team Leadership: Over 7 years of experience leading large, remote, global IT teams, along with 5+ years focused on development lifecycle leadership within a product team framework.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Background in coordinating hardware & software development teams and business owners, with the ability to directly influence SMEs.
  • Global Team Management: Track record of leading multicultural and global teams in a matrix organization, skilled at influencing stakeholders and proactively working with business and IT peers worldwide.

Specialized Skills:

  • Prototyping: Ability to engage in rapid prototype development using iterative techniques.
  • Vendor and Partner Engagement: Direct experience in managing relationships with outsourcing and consulting partners.
  • AI, Machine Learning and Data Management: Expertise in leveraging AI and ML for predictive analytics, process automation, and enhancing decision-making, ensuring solutions are both innovative and data-driven.

  • Agile Collaboration: Demonstrated experience in effectively collaborating with Agile and Product teams, including involvement with epics, user stories, sprints, and backlog management.
