Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead IBM by transforming crucial business needs and system requirements into the design, development, and coding of customized systems in an agile environment
  • Tackle new technical challenges daily and collaborate with the global Technical Support team to assist clients with product inquiries and resolve technical issues promptly
  • Empower IBM and its clients by developing and integrating code into enterprise-level systems, leveraging your technical analysis and development skills to solve complex problems, and drive innovation within our product portfolio
  • Be part of a team that focuses on developing new product features and addressing code issues within our client base
  • Work with passion and energy both independently and in conjunction with a diverse, worldwide team

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Proficiency in Windows development, including C+Windows programming APIs and InstallShield development
  • Experience in scripting (.bat files) and DLL loading in mixed 32-bit and 64-bit environments
  • Knowledge of Windows file system operations such as file permissions, locked files, spaces in filenames, and more
  • Skilled in Linux/UNIX development, involving C+Java, scripting (ksh/sh files), and InstallAnywhere development
  • Strong networking skills across distributed platforms and experience with databases including DB2, Oracle, and MSSQL
  • Ability to multitask, reprioritize tasks as needed, and debug enterprise products in a network setting
  • Familiarity with GitHub for tracking issues, builds, and deliverables, as well as moderate knowledge of System Administration in Windows, Linux, and UNIX
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • In-depth understanding of System Administration in Windows, Linux, and UNIX
  • Experience with Tivoli Monitoring, zOS, deep networking skills, Object Oriented programming, Agile Software Development, UI development, and fluent English
