Role purpose:
Execute cash application activities efficiently and effectively in compliance with company policies and procedures & Ensure unapplied cash is identified and investigated.
Key activities & responsibilities:
Review and reconcile all payments received on a current and daily basis
Prepare detailed, accurate, and organized accounts receivable reconciliations for customer requests as well as internal requests
Identify and communicate discrepancies in payments received with the collections team
Focus on managing the portfolio of receivable accounts and ensure aged balances remain within the set business targets
Prepare scheduled /ad hoc financial analysis reports
Adhere to agreed service levels, company policies and procedures
Resolve operational issues and escalate to the supervisor where necessary
Required competencies:
Strong team player
Familiar with office productivity tools (MS Office etc.)
Good knowledge of ERP
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Required experience:
1 – 3 years of work experience
Industry or shared services experience is an added advantage
Have experience in Finance and Accounting
Performance indicators:
Collection rate
Unallocated receipts
Customer satisfaction
Cycle time to process
