OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Coordinator to support business operations and compliance activities for a Costa Rica site operating within a Free Trade Zone (FTZ) environment. This role will play a critical part in planning, organizing, and coordinating business initiatives tied to government audits, regulatory requirements, and operational readiness.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional partners—including operations, finance, workplace services, and asset management teams—to ensure documentation accuracy, regulatory compliance, and smooth day-to-day coordination. This role is ideal for a disciplined, organized professional who thrives in structured environments and is comfortable working with compliance-driven processes.

Pay Rate: M

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Operations & Development

  • Organize and deliver required documentation to support the evolution of the Costa Rica site/office in line with operational needs.
  • Support business initiatives tied to operational growth, audits, and regulatory readiness.

Information Gathering & Bookkeeping

  • Create, manage, update, and maintain the site's operational documentation book.
  • Manage import/export documentation in accordance with Free Trade Zone and Procomer regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of DUAs and other import documentation requiring site leadership sign-off.

Team Coordination

  • Schedule and coordinate regular meetings with Asset, Workplace, and Finance teams.
  • Ensure ongoing alignment across financials, workplace services, and asset management in preparation for internal and external audits.

Regulatory & Compliance Support

  • Develop and maintain a working understanding of Free Trade Zone legislation, including customs, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support compliance efforts to ensure the site remains in good standing under applicable regulations.

Logistics & Operational Support

  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth delivery and continuity of services.
  • Identify issues, risks, or inefficiencies and recommend process improvements aligned with best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Administration, Human Resources, Logistics, or a related discipline.
  • 1–2 years of experience in administrative, coordination, or operational support roles.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working in regulated, compliance-driven environments.
