We are seeking a **Quality Engineer II** to join our team for this remote opportunity out of Costa Rica

**Job Summary**

The Quality Engineer II is a member of the Enterprise Access Management Cloud team and is responsible for hands-on product testing. As the Quality Engineer on the Scrum team, you will be responsible for maintaining a strong quality process for your team. This role works closely with software developers, product manager/product owner, software development engineers in test (SDET) and engineering manager to ensure the highest quality level is met. Imprivata’s test strategy is heavily based on automation, so any background or experience with test automation is highly desirable. This SaaS team is a great place to work offering a dynamic environment for learning and making a difference.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Authoring test plans and test cases, execute, and capture test results for cloud services.
- Actively participate in requirements and design reviews.
- Peer reviews of test plans and test cases.
- Work in partnership with SDET to define test automation priorities, test data, test environments and test execution.
- Participate in End-to-End team scrum ceremonies and recommend System Integration Test and End-to-End test scenarios where applicable.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- 3-5 years’ relevant QA experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of the software product development life-cycle.
- Deeper understanding of SQA methodologies, techniques and approaches.
- Experience testing a public cloud based product is preferred.
- Experience with both white box and black box testing
- Demonstrable approaches to developing appropriate test strategies and processes.
- Proven experience in identifying, analyzing and resolving complex technical issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to think strategically.
- Can work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Experience working in an Agile (preferably Scrum) environment.
- Experience in building tools and scripts to facilitate automated testing.

**Desired Qualifications**
- Experience with healthcare technologies.
- Prior experience with testing a product built on microservices architecture
- Familiarity with gRPC framework, OpenAPI specification, AWS, MS Azure, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, JIRA, PractiTest, and Azure DevOps is a plus.
- Some experience with automation programming in Java or Python is a plus.
- Understanding of security concepts especially with multi-factor authentication.
