**The Role / Responsibilities**:
Our Software Engineers help drive our customer-intensive business by creating and managing expert software services to process real-time news feeds, many of which have sub-second requirements. You will be part of a highly motivated team responsible for handling millions of digital assets daily.
- Development of high-performing RESTful APIs on cloud-native platforms, ensuring adherence to RESTful architecture principles and best practices.
- Write high-quality, well-documented, and easily maintainable code that adheres to industry standard best-practices.
- Write test cases, leverage unit and integration testing, develop functionality and automation.
- Take ownership of Business Missions/Epics and stories; Implement and test features based on the requirements.
- Collaborate across functional and project teams to assist in fixing the most complex/difficult defects.
- Investigate and find the root cause for the most complex software problems reported by clients.
- Continuously learn and improve your technical and non-technical abilities.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science or related majors from accredited institutions, Master is a plus.
- A strong background in backend engineering, hands-on experience in creating high-performing APIs capable of handling high volumes.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java/J2EE or Typescript.
- Familiarity with our chosen tools in the JavaScript ecosystem (Node.js, Express.js, Hapi.js) is a plus, but an interest in learning those tools and writing code in TypeScript is a must.
- Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in various database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases (like MongoDB).
- Expertise in version control systems, particularly Git.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Understanding of data streaming platforms (like Apache Kafka) and integration of these technologies into existing systems.
- Proven experience working effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment as part of a collaborative team.
