The AP team lead position reports to AP Team Captain.
Work closely with the AP Team Captain and Accounts Payable team members to help coordinate tier meetings, daily tasks, escalations, urgencies, processing of invoices and payments.
Review and monitor invoice processing to ensure proper approvals per the Delegation of Authority.
Assists AP Team Captain in monitoring and actioning department KPI's for the Accounts Payable shared service group.

Team Member Management
- Communicate company updates and new information in real time to all team members
- Oversee team attendance and approve all timecards before payroll deadline
- Champion Truths to Grin By so that it becomes a part of your team's vocabulary and processes
- Create development plans for team members
- Define performance objectives, and determine acceptable performance levels
- Accounts Payable Process Management
- Resolve and handle escalated customer situations when needed
- Monitors records of amounts owed and assures prompt action and payment of invoices
- Creates recommendations for changes in methods and procedures to improve the efficiency of the Accounts Payable processes
- Elaborate and provide metrics from the team's performance and present improvements
- Provides information and auditing schedules to the auditors as needed
- Analyze current procedures and recommend changes to develop and implement best practice accounting procedures

Qualifications:
ABILITIES & SKILLS:

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with peers, and cross-functionally within the company
- Understand the language/terms/jargon in the P2P realm
- Understand requisite knowledge that underlies effective decision-making and is able to describe where anomalies or flaws may occur in the decision-making for the P2P process
- Act as the "go to" person within a department or function for questions and problems within P2P processes
- Excellent recordkeeping, as well as written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborating & Influencing: works well with others, effectively listening as well as sharing necessary information, team building
- Strong market knowledge and experience in working across various functions, businesses, and regions

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Over 3 years of demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable with at least 1 year experience in a SME or leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or Accounting required
- Microsoft Excel must be advanced.
- Strong market knowledge and experience in working across various functions, businesses and regions
- Knowledge of P2P process is a must
- Knowledge and proficiency of Coupa
- Knowledge of Document Management Software as Share Point is a plus
- Knowledge and proficiency of NetSuite
- English level Strong B2+, C-, C+
